This very personal exhibition highlights the process of embracing aging and the transformations that accompany it through various stages of my life. Even during my younger years, traditionally seen as the peak of beauty, I never really felt at ease in my own skin. Aging has exasperated this struggle, leading me to wonder what truly defines my prime, a theme I explore through the use of dried florals. Can I find beauty in myself throughout the stages of my life, be it during health challenges or life shifts such as motherhood? My body has been marred and warped and yet, it has been capable, adaptable and strong. Will I be able to see beauty in myself and forego the burden of anti-aging?
